    Cook Like A German

    Lesson One: Milchreis (Milk Rice)
    (Instructions translated, roughly, from the origional German)

    Step 1- Pour approx 5 tbsp water into a large pot
    Step 2- Add to pot .5 liters milk
    Step 3- Let pot come slowly to a boil
    Step 4- Turn off heat and add contents of packet into pot

    Step 5- Stir briskly for one minute
    Step 6- Let milk rice stand for 10 minutes before serving

    Dagmar was so kind as to help me pick out the burned pieces, thus salvaging the majority or lunch.


    Lesson learned:
    Milk burns quickly!!!
